114 Pine Street was built by the quarryman Charles Robert Dorsey, a son of Basil Dorsey, Florence’s well known teamster. C. R. Dorsey is known to have provided the stone for the foundation of the new First Church in Northampton in 1878. In the 1920’s the Moquettes lived in the house.
